Choices, Choices!

Life deals us some pretty challenging cards at times, but you know what? Its your ATTITUDE to what life throws at you that really counts! Your choice ... as the Dalai Lama says above - circumstances can make you hard, almost bitter and sometimes twisted or can make you softer, kinder and more aware of what is going on around you, appreciating what challenges others in life may be going through too.

 I know from my own experiences that I have decided to go down the latter route, my extreme challenges have softened me, made me truly realise that life is for living and problems we have may often be more in our minds than actually reality. I am a lot more aware of how people feel, what challenges others may be going through and also I always 'look up' in life. Too many people in this world spend their time looking down, rushing , rushing too busy to notice what is going on around them. Take stock of what is around you, the weather, the buildings, the smell of the rain, the conversations someone is having next to you in the queue in the local supermarket. Slow down and appreciate everything around you, you will be totally amazed at what you may see!
